Spartacus

Posted by brilomax on June 16, 2021

Spartacus a three year old DSH was taken to Oakhill Veterinary Centre on Conway Drive Fulwood after loosing an argument with a motor vehicle, his jaw was broken & had to be wired, also one of his front legs was very badly damaged & had to be pinned & plated.

That was way back in January, since then he has been fully vaccinated, tested for FIV/Felv & neutered, he was already chipped and his previous owner has signed him over to Lancashire Cat Rescue. It’s taken a while to get him ready for adoption due to some administrative complications and the complexity of his injury but he is now ready for a loving home.

Spartacus is a lovely friendly lad and although he’s being looked after well here at the rescue, he really needs a forever home with someone who has the time to give him the love he deserves.

If you would like to offer Spartacus a home and are local to Preston then please call us on 01772 750263 (if no one answers leave a message and some one will get back to you). He is quite vocal and probably wouldn’t suit being a house cat (although anyone is welcome to try him as a house cat), so any adoptee needs to live in a quiet area well away from busy traffic. We expect a donation of at least £50 for our adult cats and a promise to keep them in at night & provide a litter tray or trays.

This delightful kitten is a real live wire & is looking for a forever home.

He is 14 weeks old (dob =06/03/2021), he is fully vaccinated & his mum has tested negative for Felv/Fiv.

If you live local to Preston, Lancashire and would like to offer Floyd a home then please call us on 01772 750263, if no one answers leave a message, someone will get back to you.

We expect a minimum donation of £40 for our kittens and a promise to have them neutered when old enough, you will also have to commit to keeping Floyd in at night and to provide a litter tray for him.

Update! (17/06/21) Floyd has gone to live with Julie, her family, two cats & a dog in Leyland.

Jessie

Posted by brilomax on May 25, 2021

Jessie is having a well earned but brief rest from feeding her kittens, she’ll have to put up with their demands until July when they will be old enough (nine weeks) to have their first vaccinations and be homed.

Mabel

Posted by brilomax on May 22, 2021

Mabel is looking for a loving home, and is a lovely natured, very friendly brown tabby neutered & micro-chipped female of about three years of age.

She came into care because she was an unwanted gift (it’s a long story).

Since coming into the care of Lancashire Cat Rescue she has tested negative for FIV/Felv, been micro-chipped and has had her first vaccination. By the way she’s reacting to the other cats in the rescue we think she wants to be an only cat.

If you would like to offer a home to Mabel and live local to Preston, Lancashire please give us a call on 01772 750263 to arrange an appointment to view (socially distanced of course). If no-one answers please leave a message (Christine still works full time). We expect a donation of at least £50 for our adult cats and a commitment to provide a litter tray (or trays) and keep them indoors at night.

Update! (30/06/21) Mabel has gone to live as an indoor cat (a catio is being planned) with Maisie & Oscar in Ribbleton.

🙂

We are still busy helping cats!

Posted by brilomax on May 14, 2021

We don’t have any cats ready to go at the moment! (14th May 2021)

I don’t think we’ve ever been in this situation before, even our difficult to home cats are being offered loving forever homes. 🙂

All the cats we have in either aren’t ready to go, or are spoken for when they are ready to go.

There is plenty going on in the background, we have two traps out trying to catch strays in need of first aid and / or checking for micro-chips.
