Jess

Posted by brilomax on March 30, 2022

Jess has been signed over into the care of Lancashire Cat Rescue because her family were living in rented accommodation and the landlord became aware that they had cats and threatened them with eviction, as the family had 3 school aged children it was decided that there was no option but to put Jess and Hope (her kitten who has found a loving home) into care.

She is about 3 1/2 years of age, is in good health, neutered, chipped, is fully vaccinated & has tested negative for FIV/Felv.

We were advised by her previous carer that Jess & Hope didn’t get on particularly well and so it proved to be, when Jess first came into care she was grumpy, growly and bad tempered. When her kitten was found a home Jess became a completely different, lovely and sociable little cat. We subsequently introduced her to another nice adult cat & she reverted back to grumpy & growly, so we think it best if she finds a quiet home as an only cat.

If you would like to offer a home to Jess (or any of our cats) and live local to Preston, Lancashire away from any busy roads please give us a call on 01772 750263 and make an appointment to view. We expect a minimum donation of £50 for our adult cats and a commitment to provide a litter tray (or trays) and keep them in at night.

We will always consider homing cats to busy traffic areas if it’s agreed to keep them as indoor cats.

Update! (28/04/2022) Jess has found an indoor home with Alan in Morecambe.

Wren & Robin

Posted by brilomax on March 9, 2022

Wren and Robin are two of a litter of three delightfully friendly 8 month old neutered females.

They (Robin has been homed) were surrendered to Lancashire Cat Rescue due to their carers ill health.

They are a little reserved initially, then very friendly when they get to know you, they have been micro-chipped and have had their first vaccination, their mum has tested negative for FIV/Felv.

Because they have been neutered they are classed as adults so we require a minimum donation of £50 each, they have never been outdoors and we’d like to keep it that way by finding indoor homes for them.

If you would like to offer a home to Wren or (or any of our cats) please call us on 01772 750263, you will have to promise to keep Wren indoors (a catio would be ok) and provide litter trays.

Update! (27/03/2022) Both Robin & Wren have now found loving indoor homes!

🙂

Is this your cat?

Posted by brilomax on March 8, 2022

This cat has been straying in the Millfield Road area of Chorley for the last couple of weeks, she’s not chipped & she’s been paper collared for the last week but no one has contacted us.

A vet has estimated her age to be about 12 years, we think she might be deaf & there is some evidence of glaucoma so her eyesight may well be poor.

Her body weight seems ok and she is very affectionate so we think she must have an owner.

Call us on 01772 750263 if you have any information, lets get her home!

Snip & Chip Campaign

Posted by brilomax on February 17, 2022

Lancashire Cat Rescue have been left a small legacy, and while we still need to continue fund-raising for the cats in our care, it has been decided to use the money for a “Snip & Chip Campaign”, hopefully we can make a difference and reduce the amount of unwanted kittens in our area. There is limited availability while we have the necessary funds.

To apply for a voucher please call 01772 750263 (leave a message if no one answers).

Winston

Posted by brilomax on February 17, 2022

This stocky, jowly, previously un-neutered male, has recently come into the care of Lancashire Cat Rescue.

He had been straying in the Ashton area of Preston for some time, he had been paper collared to try and find an owner, but no one came forward.

He has tested negative for FIV/Felv, he’s now been neutered & chipped, he is guestimated to be about four years old.

When he’s hungry he can be quite bossy and lets you know if his food isn’t being dispensed quickly enough.

If you would like to offer a home to Winston (or any of our cats) and live local to Preston, Lancashire away from any busy roads please give us a call on 01772 750263 and make an appointment to view. We expect a minimum donation of £50 for our adult cats and a commitment to provide a litter tray (or trays) and keep them in at night.

We will always consider homing cats to busy traffic areas if it’s agreed to keep them as indoor cats.

Update! (04/03/2022) Winston now has a loving home with Jennifer in Withnell, Chorley, Jennifer has a thing for “Chunky & Grumpy” cats.
