November 2018 Newsletter

We are still struggling to find homes for our outdoor cats, if anyone can help please get in touch. They just need somewhere warm and dry to sleep with food and water.

Dave, an older cat we were asked to help by another rescue found a home with Steven in Preston.

Korky, our lovely black and white cat found a home with Joanne and family who have had cats from us before. His first present to Joanne was a squirrel, he then gave us all a fright by going missing for a short while before returning home. Hopefully he has explored as much as he needs to and will stop closer to home.

Simba, our seal point Siamese found a home with Ben in Ashton where he has settled very well. We have seen photos of him in his new home and he is very happy and has all the attention he needs.

Kerris, Kayleigh and Keira, the three remaining black kittens from Kelly’s litter have gone together to live with Anne and John in Barton. They have had some issues with tummy troubles which hopefully will resolve with time and treatment. They have settled remarkably well with their big brother Quaver who has really taken to them and is making them feel at home.

Molly, a mature black and white cat came to us after her owner was unable to care for her any longer. Thanks to Jenny who collected her for us. Molly wasn’t with us very long before finding a lovely home with Barbara in Tarleton.

Nancy, our pretty tabby and white female has gone to live with Alyson and Neil in Fulwood. Nancy now called Ruby loves her new home and we have seen photos of her exploring the garden.

Otis & Olivia, two of Ophelia’s kittens have gone to live with Deborah and family in Euxton.

Orlando, another of Ophelia’s kittens now called Pipkin has gone to live with Aimee in Longridge.

Oliver, our friendly black and white boy with the glorious white tip on his tail now lives in Penwortham with Lisa. Oliver now called Watson has settled well in his new home.

Quetzel, is a brown tabby female, being fed as a stray and we were asked to help. Quetzel, is a lovely friendly little cat who would love a home of her own.

Mack, is a black and white kitten around six months old and still looking for his forever home, he is a lovely little boy who could live with other cats.

Sooty, was homed as a young kitten then returned to us due to her owners ill health, Sooty doesn’t like other animals but loves humans, therefore a home without other pets would be ideal.

Lucy & Leo

Leo & Lucy, grey and white male and grey tortoiseshell female, were dumped in a rabbit hutch in a back alley in Chorley. Leo, is very friendly but Lucy is still quite nervous.

Patches, came to us heavily pregnant and has had three babies, the kittens will be ready for new homes in a few weeks.

Oprah, is a 16 week old tortie and white kitten and Oreo, a semi long haired black and white kitten, both the last two kittens from Ophelia’s litter.

Luna, a five month old semi long haired black/dark brown kitten is also looking for a new home, she is a spectacular looking kitten.

The Flea Market at Barton in September raised £1,250.00 a wonderful amount. Many thanks to everyone who came to help or who visited us on the day.

Our October Flea Market had a Halloween theme, many thanks to Dawn who made some Halloween themed cakes especially. We raised £1,045.00 despite the electrics in the kitchen going off first thing.

We make a large portion of our profit due to the hard work done by Dawn, the kitchen manager and her deputy Paul. (Sorry both, couldn’t resist). Dawn bakes the majority of our cakes for sale ably helped by Tom, Sandra and Salma who also contribute cakes or pies for our kitchen. Luckily we managed to restore power fairly quickly and normal service was resumed.
